Hamamatsu is more than just a photonics engineering and sales organization. For over 50 years, we have been a supporter and partner in the advancement of science through the use of photons. Our customers have shared with us their ideas, and from these we create and sell new devices back to the scientific community. Proceeds from these sales are used in part to support and give back to the scientific community. As a partner in science, we provide over one million dollars’ worth of cameras and equipment to research centers, hospitals, imaging centers, universities, and microscopy courses and workshops per year. In addition, we support various scientific society meetings, and we present free camera and detector seminars at universities and colleges.
