Software Options

DCAM-API

We have designed a software API to be used by all Hamamatsu digital cameras; it is named DCAM-API (Digital CAMera Application Programming Interface). DCAM-API standardizes, dynamically detects and provides for future expandability of camera control and functions. More information about DCAM-API is available.

Free acquisition software included with each camera

We include HCImage Live at no charge with every camera shipped. This basic software provides the necessary tools for image acquisition, processing, and basic analysis. A list of 3rd party, compatible software is also available.

Third-party compatible software

Hamamatsu cameras are compatible with many acquisition, microscope control, and image analysis software available in the market. We offer free drivers and modules to ensure our cameras will be compatible with and can be controlled using your application software.
